Roadtrip 2005 (Memphis, Dallas & Austin)
Having always wanted to do a roadtrip of some kind, I finally got my chance this summer. From Detroit we loaded up the rented SUV and embarked on the long drive to Austin, Texas. On the way we stopped in Memphis, the blues capital of the US; Dallas, and finally ended up in Austin early the fourth day. I proceeded to stay another seven weeks in and around Austin, checking out the sights as well as the highly-rated business school there. One thing I'll never forget—IT WAS HOT. Very hot. The hottest it had EVER been in recorded history. We're talking a humid 105, 110, even 112 degrees almost everyday for weeks. And I had the pleasure to be there during this freakishly hot season. It was all good times though, very nice place with nice people.
